Appears to be a bound manuscript vs. a print book. Notes from UCLA Library: appears to have been translated from 1812-1814 in Palermo from MS notes. Side-by-side English and italian edition. English is transcribed from 1800 Didot edition, Italian is an idiomatic rather than literal tanslation. Colajanni is attributed name; there were two translators (father and son) named Colajanni working at the time but no evidence either is responsible. |
