Notes |
1. Notes at McMaster University say: "Apparently mainly a translation of Douxménil's 'Mémoires et lettres pour servir à l'histoire de la vie de Mademoiselle de l'Enclos'/ A lady = Elizabeth Griffith? - The letters to the marquis de Sevigné are spurious ones attributed to Louis Damours";
2. McMaster University provides a digitized version from Bodlean library at Oxford University; however, access is required.
3. University of Oxford provides a digitized version from its own library (Bodlean); however, access is required;
4. Notes at British Library say: "The memoires of Ninon de l'Enclos [by - Douxménil], with her letters to Monsr de St Evremond, and to the Marquis de Sevigne [the latter variously attributed to L. Damours and C. P. Jolyot de Crébillon]. Collected and translated from the French, by a lady [i.e. Elizabeth Griffith?].";
5. Notes at University of Texas say: "Apparently mainly a translation of Douxménil's 'Mémoires et lettres pour servir à l'histoire de la vie de Mademoiselle de l'Enclos'. A lady = Elizabeth Griffith? - The letters to the marquis de Sevigné are spurious ones attributed to Louis Damours."
6. There is a digitized version. Access is required, though (I couldn't get it).
7. Reed College also claims to have a digitized version. Access is required. |
