Notes |
"'Licensed, Octob. 22, 1688. Ric. Pocock'. Advertisement on p. 148" (EEBO). Thomas Southerne wrote "The fatal marriage, or, The innocent adultery: a play acted at the Theatre Royal by their Majesties servants" in 1694 based off of Behn's novel. His work is often confused with Behn's "The nun, or, The perjur'd beauty," which is a completely different novel (EEBO). |
