Notes |
Essay has been variously attributed to Lady Mary Wortley Montagu and Lady Sophia Fermor, although evidence for either is unclear. Attribution to Mary Wortley Montagu based on similarities to content in her periodical "the Nonsense of Common-Sense" but there is little other evidence to substantiate this. Lady Sophia Fermor was only 15 at the time of publication. Available at 11 libraries worldwide, check Worldcat for holdings. |
