Notes | The authorship of the original treatises, by contemporary writers ascribed to B.L. de Muralt, was revealed in the 3d. ed. of the author's Lettres sur la religion essentielle à l'homme, published after her death by her parents (Londres, 1756) It was, however, believed in Geneva, that Muralt had some share in her books. The assumption that B. Mandeville wrote the present work is without foundation (Worldcat). |
